CTACS Jan. 22, 2002 Austin History Center

We had to go rescue Keith at 15th & Rio Grande where his car's brakes had seized up and the wheels would roll no more. A quick return to the AHC and a valiant effort to get Keith's computer setup was stymied by the need for one more AC cord. Neither the official AHC office nor the Library next door would part with one, but at the moment of dispair, the AHC building attendant (janitor?) happened by and produced one in about 2 minutes!

We discussed possible north Austin meeting sites and George volunteered to check out Millwood Library off of Duval and MoPac. We missed Bo Zimmerman and his paring of the CTACS ByLaws.

Alas, by then Skipper Smith's allergy attack had done him in, leaving Don, Keith, Charlie and I. So much time had been lost in getting the setup done, that we gave very little help to Keith (and in fact left him with his system slightly worse off!).

We lost Keith to his car miseries, a slow, fingers crossed, trip back to Cedar Park, and the rest of us met at Conan's Pizza for food and drink.... good as ever. Don Kassebaum's health continues improve noticeably and he is doing his own driving these days. Steve Folberg emailed in to say the transition to dad status has cramped all extra curricular activity, but he'd begin attending again in a month or two. Former prez Roger Clark emailed to say his night job continue to ruin any chance of attending meetings anytime soon.
