Attending were Charlie Boas, John Harron, Don Kassebaum, Keith Sterzing, and George Wyche. The first order of business (before we all filled up) was to decide where the Christmas Party was to be. We accepted Keith's suggestion of the Mongolian BBQ on N.Lamar. He and his wife have been to more than one and like this one best. Mark your calendar: Mon, Dec 15, 6:30pm.
I must say that eating pizza and drinking beer did not slow down our attention to hardware. Everybody got in on the act during the investigation out why Keith's ZIP 100 no longer worked. We even took the thing a part to check the SCSI unit number setting. (Answer? 5)
We got severely side tracked trying to locate the file "scsi.device" which was not to be found, even on the OS3.9 installation CD. As near as we can tell the piece of code may be mentioned, but is unnecessary. What we did to fix Keith up was locate 2 places where unit=6 had been specified instead of 5 and that cured the failing. We even improved on this setup by moving the ZIP icon from storage to WBStartup.
Don had 1 interview, but still no job and expects to have to declare bankruptcy, and lose his house. He already uses the bus instead of his car, to get around. He noted that it took over an hour to get up to Conan's from his house on William Cannon Drive at S.1st.
