CTACS General meeting for January 18, 2010

Attending were Charlie Boas, Chris Boas, Glen Sanger, and George Wyche.

George presented AmigaFuture No.82 for reading. He also had a printout of a new Amiga cpu hardware design: X1000. The other piece of news was release of OS4.1 Update 1, making that OS4.1.1.

Guest Glen Sanger was surprised looking through the magazine to see that the resurgence of playing old games (retro-gaming) included Maniac Mansion and a sequel, Day of the Tentacle. Glen was excited because his father, George Sanger, was the composer of the music behind numerous games including both of those.

Anyway, that is our "small world!" episode for this week. Austin is like that.

Recall that a few months ago I was standing in the line here to order pizza and I heard the distinctive voice of Chuck Hardin aways back in the line. I had not seen him since 1999 when he left the employ of SMS where I worked. Turns out he went to Minneapolis, but was back visiting for a few days. Small world.
