Members attending: John Herron, Chris Boas, Mark Thomas, Charlie Boas, and George Wyche. We had barely gotten settled in when we happened to see Manuel Garcia.
Manuel Garcia, lower left in the first picture, accidently happened upon the club meeting. He was active in CTACS back in 1992 with his Amiga 1200 arranged into a portable suitcase like affair. He was always interested in the art prospects of the Amiga. With Commodore's demise in 1993, he gravitated to Macs.
We reviewed various projects underway and the soap opera that is Amiga, Inc. (It serves in place of TV, what with the writers' strike?) We were losing steam for the evening when promised guest, Vern Granor, arrived with surprise presentation from last fall's Maker Faire held at the Travis County Expo Center.
Vern Granor was the Commodore sales representative back in the early 1990s and it of late heavily involved in the Robot Group here in Austin. Vern presented a program on Parnet at the the 1993 August meeting.
