Attending were father to be Mark T., John H., Charlie B., Dave W., Keith S. and, not shown, George W.
The Amiga Future #73, which you can see on the table between Mark and John, made it to the meeting with all sorts of interesting articles, interviews, all around Amiga news, and most facinating was GNUmerics which your author has been totally oblivious to. Another was the stand alone Spell Checker. The review gave excellent directions for getting it setup and usable.
The most fasinating of all was an article entitled:SPECIAL: Game Endings (is that all we get?). The only computer games I can recall ever finishing were the Apple IIe's version of LoadRunner and the first version of Lemmings for the A1200, both of which the Wyches plunked down $ for.
Alex with the Morph OS2 loaded Efika was a no-show, but we had plenty enough to talk about.
George brought a print out of Hyperion's announcement of Amiga OS4.1 being in stores in the 3rd quarter of 2008. JFM, AMJ, J! Hey, they mean August or September! Hope its not vapor ware.
You can visit their website for the particulars, but since your author is the only one in the group with an eligible machine I suspect your interest in not piqued.
As the meeting came to a close, Charlie invited all to come celebrate Chris's Induction into Eagle Scouting. Only 2 in a hundred boy scouts complete the study required to achieve the Eagle Scout rank.
